Navigate Guides Steve and David were privileged to join a small group walking the 3km Gateway to the Bundian Way for the first time. This is a new cultural expereince offering on the Sapphire Coast of NSW by the Eden Local Aboriginal Council. This new track runs through the forest from Jigamy on Pambula Lake to The Pinnacles in Beowa NP.

After a Welcome to Country and a Smoking Ceremony at Jigamy we set off for the Pinnacles and our guide for the morning was Nathan Lygon. Nathan has worked many times with Navigate Expeditions in Cultural Kayak Tours on Pambula River. His knowledge of local flora and fauna and the ways of the old people is simply amazing! We stopped many times to look at features of the forest, finishing at The Pinnacles Loop on the coast.

Everyone should do this walk! You will learn so much about the ways of the Thaua people who have lived here for thousands of years! You will not be disappointed!
