How can I make a booking?

Please send us an enquiry form on the tour page or if you would like more information please contact us and let us know the number of guests travelling, the destination you are interested in and when you would like to go, and we can provide you with a quote.

How many people will be in my group?

We only offer small group tours, generally day tour group sizes are a minimum of 4 guests and maximum of 10 guests. Our multi-day tours are a maximum of 10 guests.

Travelling with children?

Fantastic, we love kids! There is nothing better than installing a love for nature and conservation in children from a young age. Check each tour’s details for age requirements, although generally for day tours, if you are travelling with a child under 8 years of age, we request that you book a private tour and for our multi-day tours if your child is under 16 years, you’ll need to book a private tour. Just contact us for private tour options and let us know how many people are travelling, your ideal dates and destination. A parent or responsible person over 18 years old must accompany anyone travelling that is under the age of 18.

Do you have a price for children?

Nope! Sorry, every guest on the tour is priced equally.

What if there is bad weather?

Day tours:

Our guides are trained to read weather forecasts, and if the weather is predicted to be unsafe for a scheduled experience we may adjust, reschedule or cancel an experience. This decision is generally made 24hrs before departure and we will contact you via email or text message.

Multi-day tours:

Generally, we will not cancel a multi-day tour due to bad weather unless it is of catastrophic proportions, such as cyclonic conditions or catastrophic fire danger. As these tours span over multiple days, we have enough time to still tick off the bucket list items if we encounter some windy and/or rainy days and can organise some ‘wet weather’ activities to keep everyone active.

What if minimum numbers are not reached?

Day Tours:

We will contact you 24hrs before the tour is scheduled if we have not reached minimum necessary numbers and offer you the option to reschedule, cancel and receive a full refund, or book a private tour at an additional cost.

Multi-day tours:

We will contact you before your final payment is due to let you know if the tour is cancelled, rescheduled or if there is an option for a private tour if we have not reached minimum numbers. Minimum numbers vary for each muli-day tour departure.

Are your tours suitable for LGBTQUI travellers?

Absolutely! Everyone should feel comfortable when they travel, and we know that many of our travellers are from the LGBTQUI community.

We will not tolerate any form of discrimination, violence (verbal or physical), or sexual harassment, either between travellers or involving our leaders, partners or local people. If you feel that someone is behaving inappropriately while travelling with us, please inform your guide immediately.

Can you cater for dietary requirements and food allergies?

Absolutely! Just let us know your dietary requirements and food allergies when you book and we’ll do our best to accommodate them. If we have any questions or think there might be an issue, we will communicate this with you.

Can you provide tours for different accessibility needs?

Absolutely! We are committed to making travel widely accessible. Please contact us and let us know your accessibility needs, and we can tailor a private tour to meet these needs, or provide you with more information about how we can accommodate you on our group tours such as providing ground-floor accommodation or communicating important directions in writing. Many travellers with accessible needs enjoy our tours by travelling with a companion who can assist with specific needs, and if travelling with our group is not practical, we may be able to provide you with a private departure. We have access to accessible travel options (cars / vans), walks, beaches, accommodations and pools!

Do I need to be really fit to join these tours?

Nope! Be sure to check out the descriptions of each tour to make sure that it is suited to your activity level. Any questions about a specific tour please contact us.

What vehicles do we use?

Depending on the number of guests and where your tour is going, we have the following vehicle options:

Tesler Electric vehicle –Transporting between 1 to 4 guests for day tours and multi-day tours on the Sapphire Coast, NSW.

Land Cruiser Troop Carrier – Transporting 5 to 10 guests, day tours/ 4WD tracks / short drives.

Mini-bus or other vehicles – on our multi-day tours.

Accessible Vehicles: Contact us for accessible vehicle options on private tours.

Multi-day Tours

Can I opt out of certain activities if I want to?

Absolutely. If there are included activities that you don’t wish to participate in, you can do your own thing instead. Please note that if you choose to opt out of an included activity, Navigate Expeditions can make no reimbursement.

Is there any downtime / time to relax on multi-day tours?

Absolutely! While we like to keep you active, we also appreciate that we all need time to ourselves to do our own thing. It is a holiday after all!

I’m a single traveler; will I be charged a single supplement?

Navigate Expeditions does not require single travellers to pay a surcharge for travelling alone on the vast majority of our trips. Our tours are primarily on a twin share basis, so if you are joining the group as a solo traveler, we will match you with another single traveller so you can twin share. The choice is yours, however; if you prefer not to share, we also offer single supplements that will guarantee a single room and/or tent for you. Please contact us for prices and availability.
