Grant joins us after a long career as a Ranger with the ACT Parks and Conservation Service. He regards his most notable achievement as his involvement in the team setting up the Mulligans Flat Woodland Sanctuary which is a 1500ha Box Gum Woodland Reserve behind a predator proof fence in the North of Canberra. This project involved the reintroduction of many locally extinct species such as Bettongs, Dunnarts, New Holland mice, Eastern Quolls and Bush Stone Curlews.
Grant was passionate about sharing his knowledge of this reserve with visitors to the Sanctuary and brings the same knowledge and enthusiasm to our guided walks in the spectacular National Parks around South East New South Wales.
Along with natural area conservation Grant has a strong interest in both Indigenous and European Cultural Heritage which both have a strong ongoing connection on the Sapphire Coast.
After years of holidaying in the Bega Valley Grant and his family has moved to the area and look forward to spending time with guests of Navigate Expeditions.
