5-Hour Small Group Tour of Eden

Looking for a day tour to experience the best of Eden? Look no further than our full day Eden nature tour, specially crafted for cruise guests to make the most of their time on land. Led by knowledgeable local guides, this tour provides insights into the ecology, history, and culture of our region.

“Eden was our first stop on our cruise down to New Zealand, however, we only had a short time in port so we were able to book the 5 hour Tour of Eden. In addition, we needed a handicap accessible vehicle which they were able to accommodate. Kerrie met us at the port and took us all around Eden. She was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed our visit to the area. We also had a nice lunch that was catered by a local restaurant including some amazing brownies!! After lunch we headed out to try to locate come kangaroos and Kerrie knew the exact spot to be. We would highly recommend Navigate Expeditions & Kerrie for your Eden tour!.” 2024 Jennette

During the Eden shore excursion, we will provide a light picnic lunch to enjoy in the great outdoors. Your meal will include a frittata, bread roll, salad, and a sweet treat with fruit. Tea, coffee, and water will also be provided for refilling your bottles. Please inform us of any special dietary requirements when making your booking.

For private group bookings please send us an enquiry. We have accessible vehicles equipped with handrails and wheelchair lifts to accommodate guests with accessibility needs. We encourage you to contact us so we can tailor a private tour to meet your specific requirements. Many locations in this itinerary feature accessible pathways suitable for wheelchair users.

$5 from every guest will be donated to the Wildlife Rescue South Coast. To support the rehabilitation, transportation, equipment provision, and training of volunteers dedicated to rescuing wildlife in our region.

Highlights

Eden Rotary Lookout – Just a 2 minute drive from port of Eden’s and is one of the best whale watching (August to early November) vantage points along the Sapphire Coast. With stunning views over Twofold Bay, Nullica Bay and the surrounding rugged coastline. 50m flat accessible walk.

Aslings Beach – Located in the heart of Eden, on the northern shore of Twofold Bay. Whales (August to early November) are often seen along the shoreline, while dolphins are frequently spotted feeding or sheltering in the bay.

Cocora Beach – Cocora Beach is perfect for beachside BBQs with the family, short walks and safe swimming. For a glimpse of Aboriginal heritage and the experience of treading an ancient pathway, we will discuss the Bundian Way Story Trail.

Quarantine Bay & Rixons Beach – A sheltered area in Twofold Bay with a jetty and boat ramp. Sit in the shade and enjoy the boats, boatshed, and amenities. Watch the water and listen to the calls of bellbirds, while also spotting activity from the Quarantine Bay Yacht Club and Eden Amateur Fishing Club.

Beowa National Park
Pinnacles Lookout – The short, flat, 1km to 500m walk offers a bird’s-eye view of the Pinnacles — its white sands mark the level of an ancient water table, while the red gravel clay above is rust (iron oxide). There are two lookouts with views south to Lennards Island and north to Haycock Point

Haycock Point Lookout – Haycock Point is located between Eden and Pambula, at the northernmost tip of Beowa National Park. Its iconic Devonian red rock is a significant geological feature of the Sapphire Coast, dating back approximately 350-million years.

Boyds Tower Explore the gentle 350m and 1.8m wide boardwalk to Boyds Tower, built by Benjamin Boyd but never commissioned as a lighthouse. View the historic tower, and many lookouts along the way.

Davidson Whaling Station  – Check out the historic try-works, where blubber was processed, and learn all about the whaling operation.
