Meeting Point: Port of Eden

Meet your local guide directly opposite the Eden Visitor Information Centre—an easy, flat 150-metre stroll from your cruise ship tender disembarkation gate. Board your comfortable, air-conditioned minibus (capped at just 10 guests).

Stop 1: Eden Rotary Park Lookout

Begin with sweeping panoramic views across Twofold Bay. Soak in the scenery while your guide shares stories of Eden’s Indigenous maritime heritage and world-famous killer whale folklore. Keep an eye out for seabirds and dolphin pods in the bay.

Stop 2: Pambula River Mouth

Our next stop is the crystal-clear Pambula River mouth, where sparkling turquoise waters meet the sea—and keep your eyes peeled along the drive, as we often spot wild kangaroos grazing peacefully nearby.

Stop 3: Merimbula peninsula

Short Point and Bar Beach on the Merimbula Peninsula are stunning coastal locations, each offering unique natural beauty and coastal views.

Stop 4: Lunch at Panboola Wetlands Exploration

Step into the tranquil beauty of Panboola Wetlands, a protected haven of billabongs, saltmarshes, and vibrant birdlife. After an immersive stroll uncovering the region’s rich biodiversity, settle in for a relaxed picnic surrounded by nature. Enjoy a fresh, locally sourced spread featuring a gluten-free vegetarian frittata, crisp garden salad, and artisan bread roll, finished with an indulgent chocolate brownie. Unwind with your choice of chilled orange juice, freshly brewed tea, or coffee before setting off on your next adventure.

Stop 5: The Pinnacles, Beowa National Park

Take an easy bushwalk through native woodland to discover the striking red and white ochre cliffs of The Pinnacles. Formed over 65 million years ago, this ancient natural monument contrasts dramatically against the azure waters of the Sapphire Coast, treating you to sweeping panoramic ocean views from the clifftop lookout.

Return: Port of Eden

Enjoy a short, relaxing transfer back to the port disembarkation gate well ahead of your all-aboard time, leaving you plenty of free time to explore Eden’s village shops or relax at a local café before sailing.

Mel took us on an amazing local tour of places we might not otherwise have explored. Mel was so funny & dynamic. Highly recommend!

View Tour FAQs
Is there a minimum number of guests required?

Is there a minimum number of guests required?

Yes, we require a minimum of 4 guests to operate each departure. If you are booking solo, as a couple, or with 3 people, you can book right away—we will pair you with other cruise guests.

In the rare event that the 4-guest minimum is not reached 3 days prior to your tour, we will contact you via email with three simple options:

  • Transfer to another confirmed tour departure time that day

  • Receive a 100% full refund

  • Upgrade to a private departure by covering the remaining seats to meet the 4-guest equivalent

How accessible is this tour, and how much walking is involved?

Our tours travel in modern, accessible minibuses, and the walking pace is easy and relaxed. The longest walk is a gentle 500-metre stroll. If anyone in your party has mobility challenges or prefers to avoid stairs, please let us know when booking—our guides can easily adapt the route and bypass steps. Clean public toilet facilities are available at multiple stops throughout the tour.

Can I bring young children, and are car seats provided?

Yes! Families are warmly welcome. Child safety seats and booster seats are available free of charge upon request. Because Australian road safety laws require appropriate restraints for young children, please let us know your child’s age at the time of booking so we can have the correct seat installed before departure.

What happens if it rains or there is bad weather?

Our tours operate in all weather conditions as long as it is completely safe to do so. We provide complimentary rain ponchos and large umbrellas so you can comfortably enjoy the coastal views and rainforest walks. In the rare event of severe weather where conditions are deemed unsafe, we will contact you to offer an alternative tour time or a full refund.

Do I need travel insurance to join the tour?

Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended for all guests. We advise securing coverage that protects against unexpected cruise itinerary changes, missed port calls, medical emergencies, and last-minute travel disruptions.

Is there a surcharge on public holidays?

Yes, a 10% surcharge applies to bookings operating on New South Wales (NSW) Public Holidays. This helps us cover the higher statutory award wages required to support our local team on holiday dates. Any surcharge is transparently calculated and displayed at checkout before you confirm.

What is your cancellation policy if I need to cancel my booking?

You can cancel your day tour at any time by sending us an email or text message. Refunds are calculated based on when we receive your request:

  • More than 48 hours before tour start: 75% refund (a 25% administration fee is retained).

  • Between 24 and 48 hours before tour start: 50% refund (a 50% administration fee is retained).

  • Less than 24 hours before tour start (or no-show): Non-refundable (a 100% cancellation fee applies).

The retained fees cover non-recoverable booking administration, vehicle scheduling, and allocated tour staff.

What happens if my cruise ship cannot dock or cancels its port call?

We understand that marine conditions and ship itineraries can change unexpectedly. If your cruise ship misses the port of Eden entirely and cannot dock, we will treat the cancellation as a Type 2 cancellation and issue a 50% refund of your total booking cost.

Please read our full Terms and Conditions before booking.
