Jess at ‘Navigate Expeditions’ provided a service beyond my wildest expectations. Knowledgeable, exemplary, amazing, superlatives fail me in my effort to describe her provision of service for the environmentally conscious visitor to the Bermagui, Tathra, Merimbula, Eden areas.
For those interested in exploring the beautiful Far South Coast then I would highly recommend you contact Jess. She offers a variety of choices to suit most people. Here you will be dealing with an extraordinary guide and hostess. My rating without hesitation is 5/5.
We had a great time with Jess on the 3 day / 2 night Light to Light tour. It is a stunning walk, so many photo opportunities. We loved seeing so much wildlife. We enjoyed a swim on two of the days and also a kayak at the commencement of the tour. The lighthouse cottage was very comfortable and was a highlight. Thanks for everything Jess. Definitely a 10/10
We did the Light to Light walk with Navigate Expeditions in May. It was a fabulous mixture of challenge and luxury with spectacular walks over three days – beautiful scenery, interesting guides and then delicious food and comfortable accommodation back at the lighthouse; with wombats, whales, interesting companions and more amazing ocean views.
We did the Kayak and Shuck tour on the Pambula River. I learned so much about oysters from at Broadwater Oysters from Mel…I had no idea that oysters from Merimbula can taste different from Pambula oysters…wow! Jess from Navigate Expeditions is very cheery, experienced and her enthusiasm about the region is very infectious. Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful Kayak / paddle along the Bermagui River. Our guide David was friendly, knowledgeable and great with our two kids (one with disability) Morning tea and home made chocolate brownies were delicious and they even catered for GF /DF! The length was perfect and we loved learning about local wildlife. Would happily recommend.
We had a brilliant kayaking trip on the Pambula river. Dave was very knowledgeable and an excellent guide. We saw a sea-eagle, pelicans and lots of other estuary birds. The afternoon tea was a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend!
We had a great time on the Kayak and Shuck tour, the Pambula river is a beautiful place surrounded by forest and filled with crystal clear water, so tranquil in the early morning. Thanks to our guide David for helping with the kayak and telling us all about the river and wildlife. The fresh oysters were delicious and we enjoyed the shucking lesson.
We had a great time kayaking on the Pambula River! We stopped at the port in Eden on our cruise and found this tour through a quick google search. Communication through the booking process was excellent and very prompt. Our guide for the day was fantastic. He provided transportation to/from the port and took an extra stop to show us a few additional sites since we had some extra time. On the kayaking trip, he pointed out a bunch of wildlife along the way and educated us about the oyster farming in the area, as we paddled through it. The kayaking was nice and peaceful — not too hard at all. The gear was great and they had dry bags for use if needed. The picnic/swimming spot was excellent and we had a nice snack before heading back. All in all, we really enjoyed our day and strongly recommend this tour and company to others looking for a nice experience in the area!
We had a great time on the Kayak tour of the Pambula river. It really is a beautiful place filled with crystal clear water and a hidden treasure of the sapphire coast.. Thanks to our guide Melinda for assisting us along the way, we really could switch off and have a hassle free few hours on the river.. Melinda’s knowledge was over and beyond, all about the river and wildlife. Our group varied with ability and age, Melinda adapted the tour fabulously Thank you
We had an amazing kayak on the gorgeous Pambula River led by David. Then we walked the Light to Light walk over three days which was led by Jess. The walk was well-paced, giving us time to enjoy the stunning coastal views, to spend some time observing wildlife in the forests, scrubs and heaths, and even to swim from wonderful beaches. We stayed in the Green Cape lighthouse keepers cottages with sweeping views of the ocean. They were very comfortable, and interesting in their heritage. We also had an excellent tour of the lighthouse led by Lisa.
The far South Coast or Sapphire Coast is located approximately halfway between Melbourne and Sydney and just three hours from Canberra, on the far south coast of New South Wales.
